destination: sherman library gardens

For a fun little outing on a pretty winter’s day,

stop by the Sherman Library & Garden
in Corona del Mar.

Sherman Gardens is spectacular all times
of the year, but winter brings out some special blooms.

Make your adventure here in Orange County

a true garden lovers field trip and stop by
two of my other faves!

Roger’s is just up the street from Sherman’s,
and Laguna is just a short drive down
Coast Highway.

These steps plated with succulents between the risers
is my favorite spot in all of Sherman’s Gardens.

The cactus garden is phenomenal too!

This is just a little peek…
there’s much more too see
at this quaint garden.

Café Jardin is a charming restaurant located inside the Sherman Gardens, but you may have to call first for reservations and hours.

There is a $5 entrance fee at Sherman Library & Gardens for a walking tour, so make sure you spend enough time enjoying every corner of this garden, lol.

home tour update: a pretty farmhouse

It’s that time of the year again,
when the excitement starts building for the

We just had our first planning meeting this week,
and we’re so happy to announce that
this year there will be seven homes featured
on the tour and one boat!

I can’t wait to share some of those homes
with you later in the year,

but for now I have this pretty one to share…

This monochromatic 4,000 square foot modern farmhouse
in Costa Mesa was featured on last year’s tour.

If you weren’t able to attend the tour in 2017

then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this little peek!

Make sure you mark your calendars and save the date
this year for May 17 th.

Tickets will be available in about two weeks.

and be sure to follow the home tour on instagram!

a few vintage collectables to love

I'm really loving the simplicity of white,

especially during winter
when white just brightens up every room!

And, white roses in a gold embellished vase
is such an easy look to pull off.

Today, I’m gathering some of
my favorite floral, pink plates to set an eclectic
valentine’s day-inspired table.

These vintage plates mix and match
easily with newer plates for a really fun look.

I just picked up three more yesterday
for only a couple dollars apiece.

I love how all these vintage elements work together…

These delicate details really pop
against an otherwise all white tablescape.

This newly acquired
white-handled vintage flatware
works perfectly with this tablescape.

And my new little set of white milk glass votives
have just the right look to fit in with all these romantic details.
